How to Remove Annoying Papillomas and Warts Once For All

Papillomas and warts have been affecting humans for thousands of years. They have been found on 3,000-year-old mummies and were even mentioned in William Shakespeare’s sonnets. Warts are round-shaped raised bumps on the skin caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Generally, papillomas and warts aren’t dangerous but they can be ugly and contagious.
At Bright Side, we have gathered some of the best-proven remedies against papillomas and warts that will help you stop their growth forever.

Consult your doctor first!

Visit your doctor before trying any of these home remedies. At least to learn whether it is a wart or something more dangerous. Remember that if you suffer from diabetes or any kind of immune deficiency, such home remedies are prohibited.

1. Tea tree oil

What you need:
  • Several drops of tea tree oil
  • 2 tbsp of water
What to do:
  • Add the essential oil to water and spread it on the wart.
  • Let it dry.
  • Repeat this 5-6 times per day.
Why it works:
Tea tree oil is a powerful antiseptic that kills most bacteria, making it an effective method of treating warts.

2. Bee Glue/Propolis

What you need:
  • 2 drops of 50% propolis tincture
  • Cotton ball
  • Bandage
What to do:
  • Apply propolis to the affected area.
  • Cover the wart with a cotton ball.
  • Use a bandage to keep it in place.

Out in the wild, propolis protects beehives against infections and has antibiotic and antiviral properties. It has been found to activate the thymus gland and stimulate the immune system.

3. Pure castor oil

What you need:
  • Pure castor oil
What to do:
  • Spread the castor oil on the wart.
  • Let it air-dry.
  • Repeat this 2-3 times every day.
Why it works:
In spite of the fact that it will take several weeks to see results, castor oil is a good way to forget about warts forever. It has antiviral properties and it is rich in antioxidants that will help you fight the human papillomavirus.

4. Apple cider vinegar

What you need:
  • Several drops of apple cider vinegar
  • Cotton pad
  • Bandage
What to do:
  • Soak the cotton pad in the vinegar and place it on the wart.
  • Put a bandage on to hold the cotton pad in place.
  • Remove the cotton pad the next morning.
  • Repeat this every night to see results in a week.
Why it works:
Due to its acidic content, vinegar ruins the tissues of the wart in a quick and effective way.

5. Garlic

What you need:
  • Several cloves of garlic
What to do:
  • Crush a few cloves of garlic and put this pulp on the wart.
  • Repeat this once a day until the wart disappears.
  • Garlic pills can also be consumed to treat warts.

6. Banana peel

  • Banana peel
What to do:
  • Rub the wart with a banana peel for a few minutes. Or place a banana on the wart and use a bandage to fix it in place.
  • Repeat this once a day. Keep in mind that it can take weeks to see results.
Why it works:
It may be hard to believe but a banana peel is a great remedy against papillomas and warts as it contains enzymes that heal and rejuvenate the skin.

7. Baking soda

  • 3-4 tbsp of baking soda
  • A bowl of water
What to do:
  • Add the baking soda to the water.
  • Put the affected hand or foot into the bowl for about half an hour.
  • Do not use a towel — let your hand or foot air-dry.
Why it works:
Due to its anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, baking soda is the best helper in fighting various infections. Moreover, it is a natural exfoliant that dries the wart and destroys its structure.

8. Fig juice

What you need:
  • A few drops of fresh fig juice
What to do:
  • Apply some fresh fig juice to the wart.
  • Let it be absorbed by the skin.
  • Repeat this 3 times a day. You may need to repeat this treatment for 2 weeks.
Why it works:
Fig juice contains antioxidants and antivirals that make it very effective in fighting not only warts themselves but also the internal causes.

9. Aspirin

What you need:
  • 3-4 aspirin tablets
  • A few drops of water
  • A bandage
What to do:
  • Crush up the aspirin pills and add some water.
  • Put the mixture on the wart.
  • Apply a bandage to fix it in place and leave it on overnight.
Why it works:
Aspirin is the ingestible form of salicylic acid, a leader in treating various skin problems. It’s much cheaper than most commercial lotions.

10. Duct tape

What you need:
  • Duct tape
  • Pumice stone
What to do:
  • Stick the duct tape on the affected area.
  • Leave it on until the wart falls off.
  • Use a pumice to remove the last remnants of the wart.
Why it works:
Even doctors consider this method efficient. The duct tape is the best solution to limit the oxygen supply to the affected area that helps the wart dry up.

Sometimes a combination of therapies can be more effective.
