LU-7 Location: 1.5 cun above the wrist crease, superior to the styloid process of the radius (not on the LU 5 - LU 9 line in TCM). Japanese LU 7 is found proximal to the styloid process and it is on the LU 5 - LU 9 line. (Can be found by sliding a finger from the thumb side of the wrist crease over the styloid process and pressing where sore.) TCM acupressure: Body aches, chills, cold symptoms, fever, runny nose, scratchy throat, sneezing. Also used for pain or weakness in wrist. Considered to be a 'command point' for head and neck, may be used to improve circulation in the brain, improve mood and stimulate memory. For cough, stimulate point on both hands for approximately 30 seconds or until cough subsides. |
LU-8 Location: 1 cun above the transverse crease of the wrist in the depression of the lateral side of the radial artery. TCM acupressure: Cough, feverm asthma, fever, pain in the chest, sore throat, pain in the wrist - carpal tunnel syndrome. Plantar fascitis. LU - 9 Location: At the wrist crease on the radial side of the radial artery. Generally found by feeling the pulse in your wrist near the joint and moving your finger towards the thumb. TCM acupressure: cough, shortness of breath, asthma, wheezing, chronic runny nose. Palpitations. Relieve great longing, feelings of loss or regret. Wrist pain, arm pain along meridian. |
LU-10 Location: On the radial aspect of the midpoint of the first metacarpal bone, on the junction of the red and white skin. TCM acupressure: Cough, hemoptysis, sore throat with fever, loss of voice, fever, feverish sensation of the palms. LU-11 Location: .1 cun posterior to the thumb nail on the radial side. TCM acupressure: Extreme sore throat, laryngitis, and asthma. Revival point. |
