Jin Shin Jyutsu is used to treat depression, anxiety, sciatica, premenstrual syndrome, and chronic neck or back pain.
The Japanese healing method came to Western alternative medicine in the 1950s by an American-born American doctor, Mary Burmeister, after meeting Jiro Murai, a Jin Shin Jyutsu expert in Japan.
What represent each finger?
- Thumb – worries
- The index finger – fear
- The middle finger – anger
- The ring finger – sadness
- Little finger – a bad image on yourself
The last two fingers are the ones to be massaged if you are experiencing stress or depression!
All you have to do is hold your finger with a slight pressure that corresponds to your mood and keep it like that for 2-5 minutes. Breathe deeply, then resumes this action until you don’t feel that pressure on the body anymore.
In the following film we present some massage techniques that will help you to eliminate stress or depression and which is the main movement when you massage your fingers” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6ZshVi78wk
Japanese say that this method helps to eliminate emotional stress, but also eliminates other conditions such as fear, anger, anxiety, depression or melancholy. Each finger fits a particular problem, depending on which action to take.
The good part is that you can do this at any time, whether you are sitting on TV or chatting with your husband, boyfriend, or watching your children while playing.
What is extraordinary about this practice is that it can be used for both children and adults. If done regularly, each patient can feel happier and more fulfilled.
